A CHALLENGE: DOES “HELL” ACTUALLY EXIST ?

Hebrews 2:15 says that we were all held in the fear of death by the lie of satan. Why? The LIE in religions is that since we are evil, mostly, that we will go to the place of punishment and torture for all eternity. Not exactly Good News! The Truth will deliver us from that false Satanic teaching and set us free. God is love and He loves us all , you included. Jesus Saved what was lost. Luke 19:10, and in His life, death, resurrection and ascension has take us ALL to the Father’s right hand. ( Eph.2:6).

If you choose, you can search out this topic of “hell” at the following sites I am including here in this post. Sorry, but Plato’s hell, Catholic hell, and the Protestant hell of eternal torment simply DOES/DO NOT EXIST. Please do NOT believe me. Check it out.

www.tentmaker.org is a web site dedicated to the truth about hell.

There are others but this will be a good start in your search for the truth. God bless, Paul

P.S. I have a free paper of all the words in the Bible translated hell and eternal torment and what the original Hebrew and Greek words actually were and what they meant. Just E:mail me and I will send you a copy. My E:mail is Paul.Kurts@gci.org

DO “WE” RENEW THE INWARD MAN DAILY?

II Corinthians 4:16 tells us that the New Man is renewed day by day. Some feel or think that this means we MUST on a daily basis pray so hard, or do whatever to make this a reality. It then boils down to what we do to make this so. But is this a real understanding? We put far too much of our spiritual blessings on ourselves and what we do or perform. But is this really what is going on here?

We have already been given every blessing in Jesus Christ in the heavenlies even since before the foundation of the world. Eph. 1.

We live in freedom. In forgiveness. In fellowship with Jesus. In relationship with Jesus. We are Holy, righteous, and forever saved and in the life of God made possible by Jesus. So what does it mean for the New Man in us to be renewed day by day. Is this something we make happen? Is it something we maintain or else we would loose it?

What I see this verse saying is that Jesus living in us on a daily basis continues to give and maintain His life in us on a daily basis. It is something HE does to us and for us in us. As we yield to this life in us we express that life out to others every day. In other words, Jesus continually lives His life in us and out of us daily. It is a continual renewing of His life in us daily by His working. We have nothing to do with it other than to allow Him to live His life out of us to others. We don’t have to “do” anything to make this happen or to make it so. It is so. Believe it and live it. Jesus renews His life in us daily by His Grace. WOW.

God bless.
Paul

IS JESUS ENOUGH, OR DO WE NEED MORE?

Paul said in I Cor.2:2, that he desired to know nothing but Jesus and Him crucified. Why would Paul say this? There had been numerous “theologies’ extant from time onward with all types of “theologies’ and religious ideas even in Paul’s day. Old Hebrew mystinisims, cultic believs and practices and other religious postulates were all around. Paul simply says in this passage, ignore them all. Jesus is the way. The Cross is the way. All of these others while they may bear some real truth or believeability, are not constructive or beneficial to the true Gospel that is in Jesus. Yet many have fallen for many of these teachings. Some may be true. Some may not. But the real reality is that in Jesus we need nothing else. Nothing to confuse the issue.

Paul was very familiar with the false pagan teachings of his day. So , he just cuts to the chase and says, “focus on Jesus Christ and Him crucified.: We don’t need anything else. We are COMPLETE IN JESUS. God bless, Paul www.trinitarianletters.com

IS YOUR MIND CLOSED ?

I think the greatest hinderance to any kind of spiritual growth in the knowledge of the Truth is simply a closed mind. The I know I am right because my Momma and my Grand momma taught me does not allow one to examine any further elements of doctrine or Theology or Truth. Never mind what history and the Bible have to say, ” I am right and no one is going to change my mind.” Sad, but many are plagued by this mentality.

The idea that a loving God would send most of His children from
Adam on to an ever burning and torturing ‘hell fire’ is a concept that did not originate in the original translations of scripture. This was never taught in the early Christian church for 500 years. And NEVER taught in the Old Testament Hebrew scriptures. Yet, it today is a concept that many, if not most, Christians have. If our mind is made up about this and ‘closed’, then no amount of study of HOW this came into the Christian church in the late 300′s and early 400′s A.D. is going to change one’s mind.

No original scriptures of the early Latin and the Greek Septuigant contained the words “hell” or “eternal torment” or “eternal punishment”. These were added by Saint Jerome between 382 and 405 A.D. when he translated the new version of the Bible known as the Latin Vulgate. With St. Augustine and the Roman Emperor Justinian making this translation and the concept of HELL the official teaching and position of the church and the Roman Empire (550 A.D.) it would now be taken as “truth” and the world would be deceived by it.

But a closed mind will not hear of the Truth. “I am right, hell is real and bad people are burning there forever…” What about you? Are you brave and mature enough to look into this subject for yourself and thereby make your mind up by facts not fables? I have written an entire book explaining the Adoption and Inclusion of ALL of humanity into the family of God made possible by Jesus Christ. This book is ALL OVER THE WORLD. Many Theologians, such as Dr.C.Baxter Kruger continually write on this subject. This Theology is beginning to SWEEP the entire world. Don’t keep a closed mind if you have one. Open it up to understanding The Holy Spirit desires to give you.

Best wishes and God Bless,
Paul

Hebrew and Greek Words for Hell

Does an eternal tormenting “Hell” actually exist? The original translations from old Latin and also the Greek Septuagint do NOT contain the word hell in them. When St.Jerome translated the Bible in 382 A.D. to 405 A.D. into the LATIN VULGATE, he had a Plato and Greek Mythology bias and translated the Hebrew and Greek words, ‘Sheol, Shaul, Hades, Gehenna, and Tartaroo’ as “hell”. Those words simply mean the grave, the unknown , the grave, the fire garbage pit, and place of restraint. Since the King James translation of the Bible was translated mostly from the LATIN VULGATE, it contained the same words translated as hell in its version. The same is true with the NIV and most other translations.

In 1302 Dante immortalized the concept of a hell fire in his poem, the Divine Comedy, with Dante’s Inferno which he greatly plagiarised from Plato who had lived 1700 years earlier. It was actually Plato who gave the name “hell” to the Greek underworld naming Hades as the god of hell.

For almost 500 years, the NT Church did not teach any concept of any after life of eternal torment, or hell. That concept came into the church thru St. Augustine and St. Jerome in the late 4th and early 5th century. It has stayed until today in most denominations.

Please email me and request a copy of all of the Hebrew words and Greek words translated in scripture as hell and what the original meaning of those words was. I will also send you a list of scriptures which show that ALL are saved in Jesus Christ. Don’t just believe me, check it our for yourself. Let’s get on with the TRUTH and stop believing in fables from paganism. Let’s stop living in the ‘fear of death’ as Hebrews 2:15 says and freely live in the Salvation Jesus has already freely given to us all. Rejoice!!!

Knowing that ‘Hell’ does not actually exist is truely freeing and gives all of great hope in the Universal Salvation of everyone. I Corinthians 15:22 and Hebrews 10:10.

Hell For Some or Salvation for ALL ?

Shocking as it may seem to most of us Jesus and the early New Testament church leaders did NOT preach and or teach anything about any type of eternal torment or what we call Hell for 500 years. Salvation was just declared for ALL people of all time. This GOOD NEWS caused the early church for this 500 years to grow even in the face of extreme persecution and maryterdom.

With the translation of scripture by Jerome in 382 A.D. called the Latin Vulgate, the concept of a hell entered the text due to some very bad translation of old Latin scriptures and the Greek septuigent version of the Bible. Then, in 550 A.D. the Roman emperor , Justinian, declared the concept of eternal torment, or Plato’s Hell, to be the official positon of the Roman Empire on this subject. Justinian rejected what had been taught for nearly 500 years in the church in favor of the hell concept.

In the early 1300′s when Dante wrote his demented concept of the inferno in his Divine Comedy poem, the idea stuck and has been in the church ever since. Of course Dante had the Devil locked in solid ICE
in the deepest region of hell along with others who were frozen in ICE in some regions of hell as well.

Maybe we need to study a little more about the complete salvation of ALL of mankind and leave the Greek Mythology out of our Christian experience. After all, the Good News really is GOOD NEWS FOR EVERYONE.

HELL FIRE DOES NOT EXIST….PERIOD

Well, there comes a time when it is time to let it all hang out as they say. So Here goes. I want to challenge you / us all to look into the topic of Eternal Torment or Hell fire for lost souls, etc. Since we all come from a religious background of Western Theological thought stemming from a Catholic and Greek Mythological bias, it is only understandible from this standpoint that we would accept the concept of an Eternal Burning Hell fire. Amen? But does sripture bear this out?

Let me lose some of you right now. Bias. Prejudice. Preconceived ideas. Past teachings. Whatever. Here it is. THERE IS NO, NO, NO SUCH THING AS AN EVER BURNING HELL FIRE TO TORMENT ANYONE.
WOAAAAA. I repeat this. See it again.

Paganism had this concept centuries before the Christian era. ( Just look up Zorastrian Hell, Egyptian Hell, Greek Hell, Plato’s Hell, Plato and purgatory, Etc.

The early church fathers and the early church had no such teaching as to an ever burning torturing hell fire. Origin, Clement and other early church fathers saw all people being saved. They ridiculed the concept of an ever burning eternal torment of any sort.

Augustine in the 5th century saw Platos teachings of an eternal burning Hell fire as something that would tend to keep church members in moral line and therefore put the doctrine into the church.

Justinian claimed this doctrine as the official position of the Empire in the 5th century as the official position of the Catholic Church and placed it in the Roman Empire.

With Jerome translating the Greek Septuigent into the Latin Vulgate with all of the Hell words mistranslated in 382 AD, the concept was rooted now in scripture.

The concept of Hell fire and torment was NEVER taught in the early church for over 500 years. Universal Reconciliation, Universal Redemption and Ultimately Universal Salvation of All Humanity was taught. However, one can refuse that salvataion in Jesus and not experience it although one is actually saved.

The point I want to make here is that God LOVEs all of His children and has declared His plan to save everyone.

So you do not thinK that I have made all of this up , here are some resourses for you to look into. Look into Lazarus and the Rich Man in Tentmaker. Great material. Other things as well.

THIS STUDY WILL “BLOW YOUR SOCKS OFF !!!”

We all have been so ingrained in our personal religious beliefs stemming from Western Theological Philosophy and its Greek Mythological concepts that it is difficult to tell someone or explain where some of these had their origin. So in this blog I just want to challenge you to look into some things for yourself rather than my telling them to you here. The Internet is repleat with imformation concerning the historical origins of these thoughts. So let’s go.

CONDITIONAL EVERYTHING!….NOT !!!

One common concept of salvation is that of what I call ‘conditionalism’.  Scripture is read and understood, or misunderstood, based on conditions.  For example, one CAN be saved IF one does this or that.   It places whatever gift God has to offer an individual on that person’s shoulders to either accept, do, not do or something else  to make it happen.  IE., one can be forgiven of one’s sins IF he or she ‘repents’.  Again, one can be sealed with the Holy Spirit (Eph.4:30) if one believes, accepts, understands or does SOMETHING to make this sealing of and by the Holy Spirit a reality for the individual.  And again, one can receive the gifts of God( James 1:17)  and make them applicable to oneself IF we apply the correct conditions to make God like us, love us, bless us, forgive us, have mercy on us, save us, raise us, etc, etc, etc  ad nauseum.  Can you see a picture here?  I call it, ” the tail wagging the dog.”  We become in charge.  We in effect become God.  We become the one who holds our present and future in our own hands by what we DO !  Folks, this is NOT the Good News or the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is POSITIVE.  It is NOT conditional at all.  It is an announcement of what Jesus HAS done to and for all of humanity–you included.  And it occurred before the “foundation” of the world! ( Eph.1).

Luke 19:10, tells us that Jesus came to seek and save what was lost.  It does not depend on whether we accept that fact or not.  It does not depend on whether we believe it or not.  It does not depend on whether or not we do anything.  JESUS SAVED WHAT WAS LOST!!!  You included.

Salvation is a PROCLOMATION of what God has done for ALL of His children. There is NO Condition to it.  It is a gift.  God loves the world.  He loves His children.  All are reconciled to God. ( Col.1:19-20).  We can say that ALL are made alive in Jesus. ( I Cor.15:22).  We can also say that ALL are SAVED  in Jesus Christ.  Does everyone know this.  No !   Will they someday? Yes.  Every knee will bow to Jesus, and I say out of celebration, love, joy and appreciation for what our Loving God has done to and for all of us in Jesus.

There is NO bad news in the Good News.  Let’s proclaim Good News to everyone we know and meet. Simply that God Loves you and has done everything to insure your eternal life with and IN Him.  Once we know this, we can live our life out of this wonderful truth.  Praise God.

Lord I believe.  Help my unbelief!

Amen

SUBJECTIVE AND OBJECTIVE UNDERSTANDING

( SEEING FROM OUR PERSPECTIVE INSIDE OF TIME AND SPACE AND GOD SEEING FROM BEING OUTSIDE OF TIME AND SPACE.)

There are some  powerful dynamics being  played out in the Bible and in the plan of God.  One is how we see and understand called subjective understanding, and the other is how the Triune God sees things ultimately throughout the future called  Objective understanding.   We are limited in our understanding as it relates to being inside Time and Space.  We see in the present and we usually see from a perspective of time order and or  dispensationalism as we interpret , or try to interpret, future events or prophecies.

God is different.  He sees everything in the PRESENT.  Why?  Because He exists outside of time and space. ( He is also in it as well.)  For example.  Paul says that Jesus has already taken us all to the Father’s right hand and seated us there. See Eph.2:6.  That is how the Father sees us ultimately.

We , like Martha  in John 11, would see Lazarus coming up in the resurrection at the last day.  Time order.  But Jesus makes a powerful theological and philosophical statement to her in verse 25 when He says that, ” I am the resurrection and the life.”  He knows and sees Lazarus being taken up in His own resurrection and the reality of it.  It is a presentness in Jesus mind.

In I Thessalonians 3:13, Paul speaks of Jesus returning WITH all of His saints. ( KJV).  Yet in I Corinthians 15, Paul speaks of the dead in Christ rising first when Christ returns.  So, are the Saints in the heavenly realm with Jesus presently or do they rise out of their graves to meet Jesus when He returns in Glory?  With what has been mentioned earlier, let’s take this a little further.

I believe that when a person dies he or she goes instantly to the presence of Jesus Christ in the heavenlies.  With God being outside of time and space and seeing everything in the present the individual’s spirit is united with the individuals ‘new’ body and takes on his or her new glorified human body and is with Jesus.  We participate in Jesus’ resurrection, He is our life and He is our resurrection as well.  And, we are given ‘new birth’ in His resurrection.  See I Peter 1:3-4.

So, Jesus brings His saints with Him when He returns in Glory as                         I Thessalonians 3:13 says.   The physical body comes out of the grave and is united with the glorified body of the saint and now there is only one glorified human body which has been changed from physical only from the grave to glorified only and will live with and within the Triune God eternally.

We simply are conscience after death in the presence of Jesus as Paul talks about in Philippians 1:23.  The saints return With Jesus and unite with a now “resuscitated” body which is permanently Glorified and is forever with Jesus inside the life and existence of the Triune God.

Remember the Plan of God is HIS Plan.  It is for His Good Pleasure as He desires to share His divine nature with all of humanity.  “It is Finished”.  It is a done deal, as we say.  Jesus makes it happen for everyone.  God wins.  Jesus wins.  And, We win.

Comments are always welcome.

God Bless,

Paul
